mastodon 4.8.0-nightly.2026-09-25+chuckya+synth-socHeyo! I'm Zackary / Zak. Casual gamer with more heart rather than skill & overall nerd just invested in my hobbies.
I adore photography, writing, as well as all kinds of music. I'll be sure to share some of my work over time.
Aside from these main hobbies, I also love tech! Quite interested in PC & Linux, but Android, console homebrew & emulation are interesting to me as well.
Nice to meet you!
Ms. Molly.
Heya, I'm Zak! An absolute nerd, casual gamer & tech-lover. Aside from these hobbies, I'm also a writer & musician, as well, I take LOTS of photos.
Here to have fun & chill, keeping things light-hearted. As my life has been improving, I'm hoping to meet more cool people from fedi & just vibe.
Nice to meet you!
The Midwest special.
It's a beautiful day.
Early Bird.
I'm struggling to make ends meet, at the moment. Things are definitely better than they were, but we're struggling to afford mine & my dad's psych meds, at the moment.
We're broke until Friday & we're out, as of this morning. Anything helps us obtain our medications for our bipolar & ADHD.
Thank you for reading, hope you're doing well!

When I installed Fedora this time, I decided to use TPM2.0, Secure Boot & Encryption on all 3 of my drives.
They auto-unlock based around the Secure Boot state, re-locking & requiring passphrase if the SB state changes.
Never too much security, aha.
Finally slept. I was starting to lose it, a bit, aha. Wasn't making too much sense at the end, there.
Feeling much more rested. :blobfoxhappy:
I think part of my interest in Linux comes from the fact that there's almost always something new to learn, something new going on.
It keeps my head busy while my life has been, admittedly, a bit mundane the last few years.
According to the Google Weather app (which has mostly predicted storms accurately), it is only supposed to storm for one hour now instead of five.
This is in contrast to the Weather Channel, which says we're gonna be in for a level 3 tornado, hail & wind threat over the next number of hours.
Gonna be intense, that's for sure.
Dunno about y'all, but I truly love live music more than finalized productions.
There's something just... so profound about live performances to me. Sure, maybe not always as clean, but the best bands & artists know how to make it work.
I enjoy the idea of blogging general thoughts, but I don't have it in me to maintain one for myself, if that makes sense?
I suppose that's why I like Fedi. It allows me to keep up with others, who enjoy the same & partake in it for healthy amounts.
Fun stuff. :>
Couldn't sleep last night at all, tried for a few hours, too. Ah, well. I'm sure I'll rest at some point.
The older I get, the harder I find it to stay awake for extended times like when I was a teen.
On a whim, I decided to try a Fedora Live ISO to see if the crashing was still occurring for me.
Thankfully, it no longer was & I FINALLY feel comfortable using Fedora Linux once again.
Yay!
Thankfully, the terrible storm from yesterday has passed us by with minimal damage to our neighborhood.
I wish I could say the same for surrounding areas & plenty after, too. From what I've heard, many buildings, power lines & even the roof of a school were taken from nearby towns.
Unfortunately, Storm is taking a turn for the worst. It's looking extremely rough, high winds & likely tornadoes.
In the basement & playing things by ear.
With Wrestlemania Sunday having concluded & already quite enjoying night one, night two blew it absolutely outta the water.
Maybe not in terms of spectacle, but as a fan for the last 15+ years - it feels like that main event culminated a lot of real life history.
Incredible stuff. My 2nd favorite Wrestlemania ever, now!
After dealing with the horrendous storms yesterday, I'm really glad my family could gather around the TV, today, and watch Wrestlemania Saturday.
I've been big into Wrestling & WWE for the last 15+ years. Grown up watching the stuff alongside my family.
Crazy how many years have gone by. I've lived my childhood with wrestling almost always around!
