Hazel dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) investigating a carved nest hole in our Belgian field study. ❤️
@kim_harding@mastodon.scot That's great! We're getting very good results from our field study with Eliomys quercinus in Belgium.
Sometimes I love just doing the simple stuff - but "One mistake up there and it's half a day out with the undertaker." - maybe no real simple stuff in our game!
4 baby Hazel Dormice (Muscardinus avellanarius) - an international conservation priority - who moved in with their mother to one of our nest holes carved with Goedele Verbeylen in Nismes, Belgium.
The first time in the world this has been achieved.
