I feel old amongst gen z and often feel stuck in between younger zoomers and millennials. Going from VHS to DVDs to Blue-ray to streaming throughout your childhood was absolutely wild. I went from never using computers at age 6, to smartphones being commonplace in highschool. People only a bit younger than me grew up with easy access to internet being the norm, while it isn't that uncommon for people my age to have grown up with dial-up. It felt like the internet grew up with me in the sense that it hasn't radically changed since I came of age. What a weird time to have been born.

And this is sufficient for us to not tolerate their philosophy. They inherently exclude members of our community because they somehow think accepting those people will make their lives harder. We cannot tolerate people who are intolerant, full stop.

As a trans person with dysphoria so bad that it has made me suicidal, had to fight to get hormones, and wants gender affirming surgeries, I have seen nothing but understanding and support from those people who transmeds are exclusionary towards.

Transmedicalists on the other hand have spread outdated ideas and standards that interfered with my own journey. I didn't even suspect that I wanted to be a woman growing up, nor did I know I wanted it until I had a chance to experiment. During the time, I would've appeared as exactly the sort of person that transmeds dislike, and if I actually met one firsthand during that period, it easily could've made me waste more time doubting myself. Instead, it was the unconditional acceptance that I experienced during that time that did the most for me. It helped me push past all the shitty ideas I heard online and finally figure out who I wanted to be.

So no, I don't need to stereotype transmeds because the core tenet of their ideology is unforgivable enough. You don't need to exclude a single person to care about trans people with medical necessities. Hell, I wanted to research the evolutionary psychology of trans people before my country went to shit, and yet I never once believed that transmed beliefs held any water. Their beliefs are just self serving excuses to affirm themselves at the expense of others.

Scotch Pancakes are just normal pancakes in America. If you gave a British pancake to an American, they'd probably be confused by it.

Tech peaked in the mid 2010s and it's been all downhill since. The only noticable graphical improvements in the last decade have been faces. The way we interact with each other hasn't changed much, and some memes from back then still feel modern. Formats haven't changed. Work hasn't really changed. It's all so normal now, only everything keeps getting degraded by capitalists capitalizing on their market dominance. Only AI is "new," but the main way it changes our lives is by being an excuse to take even more from us. It hasn't killed the internet because we're all still here and still want to interact with each other. It just augments what people were already able to do at best, while spamming slop trying to exploit you the rest of the time.

I may be poly, but if I was in a relationship with the expectation of monogamy, I'd feel betrayed if they then broke that expectation without telling me. Machine learning is a useful technology that can do amazing things. "AI" is the cultural phenomenon of people thinking we created a magical solution to every problem. Machine learning might be able to sometimes query a search engine better, but LLMs will never know anything about the world because that's not what it was designed for. Machine learning can make workers more productive, but we're nowhere near the point where it can be a laborer itself. People should lean how the technology actually works so they realize that half of the corporate implementations are a bad idea.

What makes it especially egregious is that you aren’t simply a user or even an instance admin, but the head developer of an entire section of the fediverse. You are not a neutral party arguing ideals, you are a person who could theoretically try to crown yourself king. You focusing so much of your efforts on attacking instances that you have ideological problems with is worrying. I wouldn’t trust an admin like that to protect me from bigotry on their server, nor would I want them to dictate moderation for instances on their platform.
