We are a private medical cannabis caregiver club with 25+ years of experience operating a small-scale artisanal cannabis farm.

This account is for documenting our breeding projects, and for sharing our process & progress with the growing community.

Seeds from our breeding projects will be available for sale on our website sugarleaffarm.com & strainly.io
Seeds are created in small batches to ensure quality and as such, availability is limited.

The proceeds from sales goes toward continuing our work preserving & stabilizing legacy, heirloom, & landrace cannabis strains.

*Our cannabis is not for sale to the general public as it belongs to our members. We are currently at capacity & are not accepting new members at this time.*

Getting plants started now to have in time for Christmas / Yule & New Years. I'll be working with a couple landrace varieties & some potential crosses with them to improve their potential. First landrace is 'Mastuj Chitral Purple Apricot', a beautiful & flavorful variety out of Chitral, Pakistan. However, being a "hash plant" it was not bred for bud production so we can expect it to get leafy. To improve that, I plan on crossing with 'Pakistan Chitral Kush', which is from the same region but domesticated for bud production. These Pakistani varieties are much better suited for wet & cold weather than their Afghan cousins, who prefer a hotter & drier biome. #cannabis

'Kombucha Cream' by Atlas Seeds flowering for 6 weeks. Very nice aroma of sweet cream; she has excellent structure and is covered in crystals. So far ahead proven to be a very hearty variety as well, showing little to no stress compared to the rest of the plants in the garden. #cannabis

'Kombucha Cream' near harvest. Still about a week or more away from peak trichome production, but she's already an impressive specimen. #cannabis

'Kombucha Cream' by Atlas Seeds flowering for 6 weeks. Genetics:
"Cookies & Cream x (White Widow x Chem Dawg)". The aroma is vanilla & sweet cream with notes of fuel/diesel. Very upright "pole" structure; ideal for "sea of green" style gardens. Very impressive specimens so far. #cannabis

These Slurricane # 7 clones were transferred from an aeroponic clone machine to these rockwool plugs 4 days ago, and have just exploded with new root growth. #cannabis

Chocolate Thai OG flowering for 3 weeks. Very robust growth with slightly elongated buds; indicative of her Thai heritage. When rubbed the buds give off a distinct chocolate aroma with a slightly bitter undertone, making it more like dark chocolate than a sweeter milk chocolate. #cannabis

The males are releasing their pollen 🌺 The pollen is from our signature variety, 'Candy Shop (no. 74)', and we are further refining it to an F2 from an F1. We're also experimenting with crossing it with 2 different varieties that might compliment one another, 'Platinum Runtz' and 'Sugar Cane V3'. #cannabis

'Afghan Kush var. Armu Darya River Valley' a.k.a 'Dwarven Spear' #cannabis First collected in the wild near an Armu Darya River valley, north of Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. This now domesticated variety remains short, averaging under 1m, and tends to grow in a single column "spear-like" structure. Her aromas range from sweet & fruity to astringent & burning rubber. She contains some CBD, with an average ratio between 1:1 and 2:1 THC:CBD. Having a mix of cannabinoids is known to help prevent &/or reduce the anxiety that often comes from having too much pure THC, which may be why these varieties are recommended for beginners, people seeking a more mild experience, and/or those with a history of anxiety &/or PTSD.

'Sugar Cane V3' (pollenated) Here is a pic of an extremely resinous variety named 'Sugar Cane' which has been pollenated by our signature variety named 'Candy Shop'. As you would expect from their names, we anticipate the offspring to be a very potent cultivar; possibly with a grape & cherry candy aroma 🍇🍒🍭🧑‍🌾 #cannabis

'Original Sweet Skunk no.1' When Skunk no.1 was created, it had 2 main phenotypes; "stinky" and "sweet". Most people are familiar with the stinky version of the plant, but the creator of Skunk no.1, Sam the Skunkman, preferred the sweet phenotype. I also prefer the sweet version, and to this day it is some of the finest old-school cannabis available IMO. I will be crossing the sweet skunk pictured here with an early version of skunk no.1 that had been resurrected from a seed pack purchased in Amsterdam in 1990, labeled "Skunk Special". The Skunk Special favors a sativa version of the plant, rather than the more common Afghan expression. My hope is to use these early sativa-Skunk genes to bring some vigor back into these Sweet Skunk plants that have been inbred for about 10+ years, creating a vigorous sativa-leaning version of Sweet Skunk no.1 while retaining the original Skunk genetics 🧑‍🌾 #cannabis

Here is a unique specimen from a strain called "Sugar Cane V3"; what we are calling the "Frosty" phenotype. Notice the abundant trichome "crystals" on the buds and along the edges of the leaves. She has been flowering for 46 days and is full of ripe seeds from our signature variety Candy Shop no. 74 males. This specimen may be the frostiest plant I've ever grown, and our Candy Shop has some of the most wonderful aromas and flavors that come through, I fully expect that among the seeds from this cross will be our next champion for the next cannabis cup competition 🏆 #cannabis

Here are two female plants that have been "reversed" into producing male pollen using a homemade Silver Thiosulphate solution. The seeds made using "reversed" pollen will be 100% female, thus ensuring that the grower will consistently have a usable harvest. #cannabis
