Oh, the relief. Well done, Nevada!

mastodon 4.7.2Author of SAVING ELI'S LIBRARY, ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?, CRAB MOON, BREAKOUT AT THE BUG LAB and more.
Born in New Jersey, educated in Massachusetts, worked as a librarian in Los Angeles before raising my children in Vermont. Now a grandmother of 3 living with my husband and writing fiction in Rhode Island.
Interested in books and writing, progressive politics, pretty photographs, Jewish stuff, and finding a community that doesn't involve musty birds.
@RMTownsend@mastodon.social same. Also, I have several lists but the app doesn't differentiate.
@AncaAntoci@booktoot.club I also put in place holders, or sometimes [TK]. And if I'm really stuck, I might start writing about what I'm not writing, and why it's giving me trouble. Getting the words flowing, any words, is often enough to trick my brain into getting back with the program. And when all else fails, there are always snacks. Or a walk. Or social media...
@oagennaro@mstdn.social I am in a constant struggle between where I think my WIP should go and where it wants to go.
Looking for the most compatible instance in this wonderful #fediverse . People on writing.exchange, do you toot about topics other than #writing?
@jacquelinewest@mastodon.social hi! PB writer here, also looking for my people. Mind if I stand here in the corner with you? I brought pretzels.
@slcrane@writing.exchange Thank you! This is what I have found here (as opposed to that stinky bird place). There, asking a question was like shouting into the void. Here I get a friendly, helpful reply, and a reminder to be patient. (Practicing patience is another thing I love about this place.)
If I decide that I want to join, is there anything I should do other than keep checking back to see if the server is open?
@oagennaro@mstdn.social Excellent. My problem is often too many choices. As soon as I send my story in one direction my brain brings up five other ways it could have gone. It can be paralyzing.
