FWIW - Project Hail Mary was great. If you're a cinema type I do recommend that you go to a theater. It does run 2:30 but it moves at a good clip.

There is no focus this morning. I'm listening to a podcast wherein two dudes are reading a creepypasta taking place. The protagonist is in highschool in the 90s and in conjunction with other factors I am drawn back to that time. I'm back driving around on street view to places that don't exist anymore and others that have lost meaning.

We were awoken at 2:15 this morning by a number of loud pops out on the street. Initially I thought "is that gunfire?" But each pop was followed by a crackling sound like the rain of sparks that follow some fireworks. Unless those were very fancy gang bangers, it was probably some jackass popping off leftover fireworks from Diwali.
