For most building their net worth took time and effort (& physical labour).

This is what so many people miss- we can all have an impact by working together in a community, finding your community is the challenge.

@artemis@dice.camp I disagree with your take on the use of all lanes being the cause of traffic backing up. Obviously the backup is well beyond the merger point- your take is the same false reasoning that ‘more lanes will improve traffic flow’ it just increases traffic. And in your scenario it also increases the likelihood that attitudes at the merge will be negatively affected. Selfishly pushing your vehicle ahead for what is a thirty second benefit is not the answer, why wouldn’t everyone in traffic just cut into the merge lane to pass those in front of them and thus block all those people legitimately joining the “parking lot”?

@jfmezei@cosocial.ca we were a pit crew for a friend riding Toronto to Moncton and he went through about 8 tires(flats). Interesting trip and some wonderful stories. We carried his stuff so no broken spokes. Must have been a lot harder carrying all your stuff. Quite impressive!

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt in most households there’s no distinctive men’s or women’s toilet - the toilets that exist are used by either sex. With the advent of locks on bathroom doors and toilet cubicles there should be no problems. You have a space for privacy that is secure for your bathroom routines. Then you can wash up in a common area. Unless you’re a prima donna, and if so that’s on you!

@MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social interesting side note while in the USA (prior to tRump) sitting in a Cracker Barrel the new menu had listed a vegetarian burger option- by the comments from those around us you would have thought that everyone was being forced to order it.
