Before we left on our Texas trip almost a month ago, I set up my two, unfinished DIY UPSs to our main fridge and the basement fridge. They are both still at 100%. Don't think we had any power outages while we were gone, but the revamped charger setup in each kept the batteries charged while providing grid power to the fridges.
I'd say the almost month-long test is a success.
