I would like to know why progn in lisp is called progn but internet search does not seem to have an answer.

Wonder if one could use an octree or some sort of structure to automatically place something like GI probes sparsely? Like subdivide an octree once a certain amount of mesh objects are inside it then place a probe at the center?
Only problem is not all meshes are equally sized, so it wouldn't capture a large, high density mesh as well as a bunch of small low-density meshes.
I feel like you can bolt a lot of features onto the C language, even if the syntax of doing so may not be as nice as other languages.
Really, I kind of wish C macros were as capable as lisp macros just so you could import or discard whatever language features you wanted (or use different implementations that fit your use-case or sensibilities better).
