@cat5e@critters.gay I'm guessing the circle is meant to represent token ring? (If not, it should be.)

@cato@chaosfurs.social @finn@ice.finnley.dev I am not opposed to that suggestion. Kitties are nice and warm, too.

@cat5e@critters.gay ...though I think it would have been more meta had one ring in the networking colors represented token ring and a double ring indicated FDDI.
@nytpu@tilde.zone Don't forget to delete your System32 folder. Your computer will run faster.

@rodneylives@mefi.social That sounds good but I had not heard of them until now, and all that come up when I did my search was Geocities. That might mean it may be a good idea to tell people about them, and preferably without being as toxic as this discussion has become. Doing that also gives your product, being Neocities vs Geocities a bad look.

@kycm_ancy@fandom.ink I actually never said that I don't like Geocities myself though I did wind up seeing many people starting to raise a stink over a series of rug pulls that were going on in the 2000s, and since then, Geocities has mostly faded from relevance until more recently when they made news for being shut down. That said, I had mixed results with a few other hosts around that time as well. Still, the name "Geoshitties" wound up sticking within the public.

@fabio As an owner of a Samsung device, I am wondering what's so special about their devices that other manufacturers can't match for half the cost. How hard they're pushing the spyware also gives me the willies.

@AnarchoCatgirlism Same. ...or like, "Hope work is ready for me." Nope. I have to get my work ready before I begin.

@kaiiak What gives you that idea? Nothing I own runs Gnome.
...though I totally feel you there. Same for Cosmic.
Replying to
@kaiiak ...well, I probably should clarify. Nothing I own runs the Gnome frontend. I doubt you can get away from a GTK backend without some serious sacrifices.

@th3f4ult@fedi.666666420.xyz That said, we may also need .bork, .rawr, .merp, and others of the sort. How hard could that be?

@ellaw@exquisite.social @literalgrill@sakurajima.moe That's a name I heard them called years ago quite often.

@literalgrill@sakurajima.moe Last I heard, Geoshitties was closed down long ago. I guess not.
