The Wisteria is beautiful this year with massive blooms and its heady scent. Only truly revealed on Friday after removal of scaffolding.

Last of the spring narcissi in the lawn where flower beds used to be. They always make a good show.

Inspired by seeing the early signs of spring and having at least one sunny day I started on the garden spring-clean yesterday. Lots to as we gradually wake up the garden.

Longing to get back to drawing, I miss it, hopefully not too long now. Cataract op on Friday. This is Sir Lenny Henry.

I love piano tuning day, it always ends with an impromptu concert! Here is a very brief clip.

A mole has excavated a whole wheelbarrow and bucket of soil from under the compost bins!
The bins are on paving slabs and access to the underworld seems to be from three entrances on the edges. I'm expecting a major collapse at any time!
I have applied environmentally friendly mole repellent but the little blighter is still there.
Plan A, when I have given the garden its spring clean (only just started) I'll empty the compost onto the borders, move the bins and lift the slabs to replace the soil.
This is an unwanted project, I have also started on refurbishing my bicycle and my main spring project of redesigning and rebuilding the pond.
Plan B, I never have a plan B, Plan A always works (I hope)!
Ringing call changes on Great Gransden church bells during our practice session on Thursday.

I tidied the ringing room at Great Gransden church ready for the autumn season, as we look forward to welcoming two sets of visiting ringers in the next ten days, and ringing for a wedding next Saturday.

This is where we ring our church bells, probably the loudest unamplified musical instruments. But there is no service to ring for in our church this Sunday! #silentsunday #ChurchBells
Firing the bells for treason and plot, a tradition in our tower on the practice night nearest 5th November. In the 19th century the ringers were paid 7 shillings to ring on this occasion. This year the bells were half-muffled for Remembrance.
