I raged against the machine. And every time, I am surprised anew at how creative anger makes me. 😈 I even write faster. 🤭 See my new article "Snails Or Slop Slime" https://steady.page/en/naturematchcuts/posts/28951404-a41f-4215-ab89-bc35dbc41233
Provoked by a fake page for #naturelovers on a big platform.

It has been raining continuously in #France for 37 days (thanks to global warming), the longest period since 1959. Those who are lucky only have damp walls, but many parts of the western country are flooded.
Even here in the mountains in the east, the ground is so saturated that you cannot walk on soil without high wellies.
But all that water is no protection against summer droughts! And for the mood ... 🙄

Nightmare: Why #LLMs kill author's skills: "What began as a jagged, precise Romanesque structure of stone is eroded into a polished, Baroque plastic shell: it looks "clean" to the casual eye, but its structural integrity – its "ciccia" – has been ablated to favor a hollow, frictionless aesthetic. We are building a world on a hollowed-out syntax that has suffered semantic ablation" https://www.theregister.com/2026/02/16/semantic_ablation_ai_writing/

'Who Will Remember Us?' I use the word brilliant sparingly, but this #essay deserves it. If you have time and love truly inspiring food for thought, read it! Signal is just the hook.
This essay talks about the #culture of #remembrance, about digitising who we are, or who we believe ourselves to be. And about the #ethics behind it. About tech ideologies and #resistance. Imagine, the cloud went dark ... what remains?

In Germany, unions are the norm. We have a long history of unions. The pre-form of the biggest, IG Metall, was founded in 1891, the modern one in 1949.
But there are always bosses who hate the unions. Especially one: Musk tries everything to destroy workers rights in his Tesla factory. Now the union fights back:

Masterful headlines have become rare. I really like this play on words. 😂
