mastodon 4.5.11Movie Tracker is a privacy focus app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac to easily help you to organize and keep track of the Movies and TV Shows you want to watch.
Your TV shows. Now on your wrist.
The new Apple Watch app for Movie Tracker lets you see upcoming episodes and mark them as watched in seconds. Also includes performance improvements, bug fixes, and better image loading.
Hope you enjoy this update. Feedback is welcome.
Every icon, color, and animation in Movie Tracker is something I designed myself.
No team, no company behind it, just me at my desk writing code and testing features.
I want the app to feel effortless, quiet, and built with care.
Indie development means creating something by hand for real people.
The update is available now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Thanks for supporting Movie Tracker and independent, privacy focused app development.

Every year there is at least one movie or series that stays with us.
A story that defined a moment of our year.
What was your most memorable watch of this year?
I would love to know what stayed with you and why.
The more apps try to keep you scrolling, the less time you spend watching.
Movie Tracker was built differently.
No feeds, no followers, no distractions: just your movies and series, beautifully organized.
Because tracking what you watch should take seconds, not hours.
Algorithms tell us what to watch next.
But what if you only followed your own taste?
Movie Tracker is made for people who want to choose their movies and series freely, without feeds or ratings from others.
Your taste. Your watchlist. Your time.
Some movies and shows never leave you.
You rewatch them not to see what happens, but to feel what they made you feel the first time.
Movie Tracker helps you keep track of what you rewatch and when, so those memories never fade.
Because good stories deserve more than one watch.
Movies are more than entertainment, they’re memories.
A night at the cinema, a film that changed your mood, a story that stayed with you for years.
Movie Tracker helps you keep track of what you’ve watched, but also when and how it made you feel.
Because movies aren’t just titles, they’re moments.
One of my favorite features in Movie Tracker is Smart Lists. You choose the filters and the app builds the list automatically.
Want a “Favorites of 2025” list? Done. “Unwatched Critics’ Picks”? Easy.
They update on their own, so you can focus on watching, not sorting.
It’s small touches like this that make tracking feel effortless.
If you could build one Smart List for your movie life, what would it be?
When I built the first version of Movie Tracker, it only did one thing: store movie recommendations from my friends. Then users asked for watch history, ratings, Smart Lists, and iCloud sync.
Each update came from feedback: not analytics, not algorithms.
That’s what makes indie development unique: real conversations shape the product. If you love cinema, Movie Tracker is made for you.
What’s the feature you’d love most in a movie-tracking app?
Letterboxd is perfect for sharing opinions, reading reviews, and being part of a community of film lovers.
But what if you just want to organize your movies: privately, without social feeds or comments?
That’s where Movie Tracker comes in.
It’s designed for people who love cinema but prefer simplicity.
Differences in a nutshell:
🔒 100% private: no accounts, no tracking
🎬 Watch history by date
⭐️ Ratings and personal notes
⚡️ Smart Lists that update automatically
💾 iCloud sync and backup support
I built Movie Tracker to make it easy to keep track of everything you watch and everything you still want to see.
You can add movies or TV shows in seconds.
Each title shows cast, directors, release year, genres, and rating info.
