Harbor seal pup found abandoned on my side of the Kenai Peninsula and is now in the loving, caring hands of the fine folks at AK SeaLife Center! Did I mention the SeaLife Center will be our featured guest at my market this summer?? Now, I have! A vigil we held in my hometown because the gentleman on stage lost his wife and three stepsons when they were recently kidnapped by ICE. I will be attending a second community meeting tonight to further discuss what we can do to support this family and others who are now living in fear and will no longer leave home to shop, etc. we have built quite the network to offer support. The woman and her children were here legally after seeking asylum at the border in 2023. She was working two jobs and her kids were doing great in school. She sought asylum because of cartel violence in Jalisco, where she was deported to recently and violence has broken out amongst the cartels. #Insanity #StopIllegalDeportations

On today's expulsion of the two Black representatives, but not the white rep, Elie Mystal summed it up pretty darn well: "Tennessee has now given the entire country an object lesson in critical race theory better than any AP history course ever could have.
