To optimize and hint your typefaces for low-density pixel screens is an act of environmental consciousness. To give people fewer reasons to constantly throw away perfectly usable screens in the name of chasing higher resolutions.
That alone is why hinting is more necessary than ever.
Trying to make asterisk design less painful
Discovered that I won't be able to make money off fonts for a very long time. Or at least, I have no good way to do so.
In the meantime, here's a serif typeface I've been working on lately (1 weight, no kerning):
The Mask to Master script by @timahrens@typo.social is an absolute godsend. I wish I learned about it earlier as I was correcting italics for a rounded sans-serif family.
At least I got to use it on the Mono italics.
