@sidereal@kolektiva.social Ditto. I also don’t listen to commercial broadcast radio or watch much of anything. Billboards are about the only advertising I see. It’s not a bad way to live.
@DoctorDeathray@retro.social I picked up https://redhotempty.bandcamp.com/album/the-red-ep today. Love it!!
Guitar of the Day
My new 7-string, fanned fret, headless. Active pickups, stainless steel frets, bone nut, mahogany body, roasted maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and all very nicely put together. By Hex Instrument Labs. Distributed by HILS America. #Guitar

@DoctorDeathray@retro.social Ha! This is good stuff!! You seem comfortable in huge freaking metro areas, I’m confident that you’ll find some folks to jam with soon.

@mathias@metalhead.club That guitar seems right up my alley! I see that company also has models with the Fishman Flounce pickups. I wonder if they would add those to that guitar. That would still be in my price range. Thank you for the tip! I live in a rural area so hands on experience with non mainstream gear might be difficult. Might be worth a try to call around to a few of the nearby towns’ shops.
I’ve gotten the okay to buy a guitar and have been looking online at a Legator 7-string headless. The price is right but I’m not at all familiar with the brand. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? #audiogear #Guitar

@liquid_clear@mastodon.social Huh, I’ve never thought about higher. That would be interesting, but put me down for low.

@juxtaposerisonline@mastodon.social Thank you for the encouragement and whatever weird kick in the ass you seemed to inspire. Strictly a hobbyist with no aspirations for much more. I like older metal and drum and bass so there ya go!
Debut song under my new stage name.

@juxtaposerisonline@mastodon.social Funny thing, as soon as I hit the “toot” button on my last comment I said to myself “and why the fuck not” got up off my ass, went into my music space, fired up the system and loaded what I think is my best tune. Yeah, why the fuck not! I need to do a quick thing or three and give it a couple more listens in the AM. If I don’t have something out by tomorrow afternoon throw something heavy at me.

@bsletten Besides there’s already plenty of antiwar art. We need more anti-burning-money-in-space art!

@bsletten Hey, no worries. Maybe I’ll see you at the UFC Championship on the White House lawn!

For musicians using iPhones or iPads, a new Jupiter 8 synth from AudioKit has dropped and it’s SWEET!!

Anyone doing anything cool with their Sweetwater stickers?

@bascule@mas.to Yes, but can you make the connection between the Times Square hyper-consumerism advertising and the smoke from hundreds of wildfires?
Replying to
@juxtaposerisonline@mastodon.social I haven’t gotten up the courage to put anything out yet. I’ve been balking for about five years now. 🫠

@mathias@metalhead.club Those Vaders are NICE but that’s about 2x more than the one I’m looking at. Same with the Stranbergs, plus the 7-string option. I didn’t mention it originally but multi-scale is on the list as well. I’m a bedroom hobbyist, not a guitar connoisseur or collector either. I have an Ibanez QX 6-string that I really like. I took right to the slanted frets and want to try the multi-scale. With that context do you think that the Legator might be a good fit for me?
