#3GoodThings Grateful to not have choked on my stupid medications 💊 A friend gave me 2 houseplants a few months ago ~ an Easter cactus and an arrowhead plant. Both are doing so well on the kitchen windowsill that they need to be replanted already. The pots I picked out were delivered today 🪴 🌵 I’ve had a secret admirer for about 10 years now 🕵️ I know damn well it’s a family member, but no one is fessing up. And they’re in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island ~ I have family in both states. Anyway, this admirer has mailed movies to me over the years. Horror 🫣 specifically, because that’s my favorite, but they didn’t know that in the beginning. My spidey senses figured out they were TRYING to scare me which didn’t work obviously. I really appreciate one of my kin going out of their way to make me smile ~ it is such a lovely thing to do. And after doing a little family math, I know that it’s someone I haven’t seen in many years 🥹 so cool! #3GoodThings 5 hours, 15 minutes of sleep last night and a 90 minute nap at 6:30am set me up nicely for the day! 😃 Sherbert’s cage and area are nice and spiffy again. And no biting! 🦜 🪺 Finally found a no-iron, washable, double-sided hemming tape that works! (Aleene’s Original Permanent Fabric Tape). I use it to hem t-shirt sleeves a bit higher and when necessary hem the bottom of shirts that are way too long. 🪡 🧵 Bonus: everyone on the fedi has been exceptionally kind about the anniversary of my Mom’s passing. #3GoodThings All teeny-tiny bits of medication have been swallowed successfully. 💊 I texted my neighbor (duplex) to apologize for all the noise last night and she replied that she hadn't heard a thing. I told y'all I bought a metabolic scale a while back ~ all of my data points have improved since then ~ the most important to me are visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, muscle mass, bone mass and metabolic age. #3GoodThings I will take my last tapered steroid dose tomorrow. My legs looked SO much better by day 2. And my cracker-jack doctor can’t remember why he didn’t give me steroids to begin with. 2 months dealing with this crap ~ unnecessarily. I have an office rug under my desk ~ for my rolling chair and hardwood floors. It’s a U of F Florida Gators 🐊 rug and very loved, but it has taken a lot of abuse over its 11 year life and it shows. So I ordered a new rug and am waiting on delivery today. Guess what? IT’S PURPLE! 💜 There must have been a glitch in the matrix last night because I slept right through my regular event of waking up due to pain at around 1:30-1:45am. Yes, that meant I woke up for good at 3:30am, but I’m taking the win! Hits much different to sleep uninterrupted 😊 😴 Bonus: got my arrowhead plant propagated and will hopefully have 3 new plants in a few weeks.
