First, contact as many people as you can, especially local ICE watch orgs. A lot have hotlines which you may be able to find with a web search. Next start recording. Delay as long as possible. Ask for a warrant, stay calm and maybe try to negotiate as a stall tactic. This will hopefully give community members time to arrive and record or hopefully apply pressure if they are brave and numerous enough. It is possible to intimidate and drive them back with enough numbers. All else fails at this point I would not fight back and allow yourself to be arrested. Most citizens being arrested right now are being released. The courts are slow but still upholding the law for now. If you are not a citizen then your options might not be as good. Fighting back is likely to get you injured or killed but if you have an escape route it could be worthwhile, especially if you can escape in areas where motor vehicles can't go. Their level of fitness is generally low so they can't give chase for long, and as long as you're not high profile you might be safe once you get away, though you'll likely need to lie low somewhere. If you're asking what to do about the current political situation in a broader sense then I have different answers.

Well I think this is a bit contradictory. Dissidence is merely one form of crime from the state's perspective. So it is somewhat effective at reducing behavior the state will punish, though not completely effective obviously. Now I would agree that the harm here is not worth it. If you had a completely trusted authority that only used it in a responsible way for serious crimes then it could be useful but I don't see how that could happen.

Well I'm just saying that the elimination of "criminals" does reduce crime in a sense. I personally don't think it's a very ethical means of doing so but it is effective. If I trusted my friend so deeply that they would not judge or harm me in any way I wouldn't mind if they saw my whole life. But that's a lot of trust that isn't very realistic, especially for a detached and unaccountable government.

Maybe someday it will be possible but yeah rural areas probably need cars. Although in parts of Europe they have pretty great bike path networks in the rural areas too. Might replace some trips to the neighbors or closer destinations.

You can tell because they're shedding crocodile tears over armed enforcers of the state being fought against in legitimate community defense. Actions they would be celebrating in other countries. I am from here. I’ve never made much money and I’ve never had too hard time surviving, although I’m good at living frugally. What do you spend all that money on? Housing is expensive in areas with jobs but beyond that most major expenses can be avoided if you are smart. Food is pretty cheap. Clothes are cheap. Entertainment can be free. I mean I’m not saying there isn’t struggle here especially among the poor but to say the average person is barely surviving seems an extreme exaggeration. Especially compared to places where food is not affordable or medical care is not available.
