As Bulgaria is joining the Eurozone tonight, the following changes have been applied in Liberapay.

- The Bulgarian lev (BGN) has disappeared from donation forms.
- All existing donations and scheduled payments in that currency have been converted to the Euro.
- All accounts which had the lev as their main currency have been switched to the Euro.

Congratulations to Bulgaria, and happy new year to everyone!

Liberapay has never had a rigid roadmap, and we don't usually announce things in advance, but today we can say:

Two noteworthy new features will be available soon, one for donees and one for donors.
Later this year, Liberapay will add support for at least one more payment method, thanks to a grant from NLnet.

Liberapay team accounts have gained a new feature. Each one now has a public page showing every payment received through it, and providing the same data in CSV and JSON formats.

Cette nuit, la Bulgarie entre dans la zone euro. En conséquence, les changements suivants ont été appliqués dans Liberapay.

- Le lev bulgare (BGN) a disparu des formulaires de don.
- Tous les dons existants et les paiements programmés dans cette devise ont été convertis en euros.
- Tous les comptes qui avaient le lev comme monnaie principale ont été passés à l'euro.

Erratum: it turns out Canada can't benefit from these improvements at this time, even though it is listed as a supported country in Stripe's documentation. Warning: these changes have unintentionally triggered direct debits for donations that had been in limbo since that payment method was restricted to European recipients. Sadly we can't cancel direct debits, as Stripe only gives us the option to refund them after they've been settled.

Les comptes d'équipes Liberapay ont gagné une nouvelle fonctionnalité. Chacun dispose désormais d'une page publique affichant tous les paiements reçus par son intermédiaire et fournissant les mêmes données aux formats CSV et JSON.

@WeirdWriter@caneandable.social The weekly email is a legacy thing, turned off by default for new users. The amount of money it reports is basically the same one displayed on your public profile page, not the amount you should except to see land in your Stripe and PayPal accounts that week.

Since you received two payments through Liberapay since yesterday, you should get a new payout tomorrow.

Erratum : il s'avère que le Canada ne peut pas bénéficier de ces améliorations pour le moment, même s'il figure parmi les pays supporté dans la doc de Stripe. Avertissement : ces changements ont involontairement déclenché des prélèvements automatiques pour des dons qui étaient en suspens depuis que ce mode de paiement était réservé aux bénéficiaires EU. Malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas les annuler, car Stripe ne nous donne la possibilité de les rembourser qu'après leur règlement.

@thibaultmol@en.osm.town @otyugh@pouet.chapril.org We can't easily add a Stripe-like provider. It would take considerable effort and would make Liberapay even more complex and confusing. Mollie simply isn't interesting enough to be worth the costs. Adyen could perhaps be viable, if we applied again and they decided to accept us this time, but it's only better than Stripe in some ways, not across the board. https://github.com/liberapay/liberapay.com/issues/1394#issuecomment-1247832976

@whynothugo@fosstodon.org If you mean making the ledgers of non-team accounts public, we do have an old ticket about adding an option for that: https://github.com/liberapay/liberapay.com/issues/482 If you mean exporting non-team ledger data in CSV, our opinion remains that people should download CSVs from Stripe and PayPal instead.
