Age verification becomes more common. Australia, France, etc. introduce such laws to ban children below 15 years from social media platforms, to protect them. Will these laws also be relevant to fediverse/lemmy specifically? Personally I think these laws will focus on the big platforms at first (facebook/meta, youtube, discord, instagramm), which will force younger users with technical skills onto smaller and niche sites. Over time focus on this question will increase for the fediverse.

Afaik weather will become more extreme, so some regions will get very wet (flooding damage) (as we see currently with Portugal), and some very dry (drought). From a physical viewpoint, climate change will heat up the oceans, so more energy will be available to lift up water into the atmosphere/clouds?

Will this switching become an illegal act?

Nation states absolutely have the power to erect great firewalls around their internet fiefdoms. But the dark-web also expands. Some minuscule part of the fediverse will be banned to the dark-web i think.

In right wing social media activity I often see statements like “the globalists will fail” or Globalists are evil These terms are often associated with global-trade, liberal free-trade and open international travel. Also there is a often protested or controversial conference in Switzerland “World Economic Forum”, where rich and powerful people meet in Davos. It seems like the right opposes such internationalist conferences more than the left. Do leftists oppose globalism?

Marxist-Leninists are internationalists. But the Soviet union was pretty isolated at the end of the cold war wasn't it? And the wall fell, which lead to more movement between borders?

Epstein island.

they’d be pissed if the trade routes that supply it suddenly vanished.

Didn't Trump tariff coffee imports from Brazil or some shit? Is this a sign that Trump is anti-globalist?

Is the European union viewed as an internationalist & globalist project by Marxists or is is it labeled as something else?

Building rainwater-storage-facilities for such sudden changes in rain patterns is hard as well.
