So, when my very unique, very exclusive alias for a German service provider suddenly started drowning in Nigerian prince-level spam, I did the unthinkable. I politely asked them about it.
Their response was a masterclass in German corporate gaslighting: "No leak. You definitely reused it. You probably have malware. The problem is clearly the user's toaster." Zero responsibility, maximum arrogance.
Delighted by their thorough, cutting-edge investigation, I forwarded their patronizing denial to the data protection authority (because apparently, I hate my free time).
Fast forward a few weeks. Surprise, surprise. They just emailed me to "proudly" announce they had a data breach.
Ah, yes. My malware. What a relief. It's almost endearing how they'd rather insult my intelligence and blame my imaginary viruses than admit their servers are held together with duct tape. But hey, at least the GDPR scare finally forced them to tell the truth. Eventually. Truly a model of "German efficiency."
