I finally got around to assembling the #LEGO 41757 Botanical Garden and 42669 Beekeepers' House and Flower Garden sets over the last few evenings and they are magnificent! The Botanical Garden building is such an elegant looking structure. I really like how the Beekeepers' House and Flower Garden set is three modules that can be detached from the house. I also noticed that a number of the parts were PAB wall offerings over the last year. Now to see if I can combine them into a small diorama. #AFOL

The #LEGO 31167 Haunted Mansion was on the wanted list for a while. I finally grabbed one last week. Not a lot of parts, so a quick build, but it is because there are a lot of large elements in this set. It is pretty straight forward assembly, prints (no stickers) and the two ends are hinged to create a fully enclosed house.

Also looks cool next to the 43217 'UP' House.

@XyphoidProcess@mastodon.social I never had a GameBoy, but have the #LEGO one. I've caught the display out of the corner of my eye a couple times now and thought I've left something turned on. 🙂

A long overdue visit to the #LEGO Store after work to check out the PAB wall. But, also ended up getting a couple of sets that I'd been wanting. The Spring Wreath, like the other wreath sets, is great for foliage parts inventory. I've already started this set and is a nice swap out from the Christmas Wreath. I was really wanting the Friends Garden Restaurant as soon as I saw the announcement. Such a great looking set. I grabbed it soon as I saw it on the shelf. Those two, and the hour large PABs, got me a couple of freebies as well. 30701 Botanicals Field Flowers 40885 Creator Duck Family 40957 Spring Wreath 42691 Friends Garden Restaurant #AFOL

Since the #LEGO Monster Fighters sets were infected with Brittle Brown, it was nice to see this 31167 Creator 3in1 Haunted Mansion. I have been meaning to get this for a while, so grabbed it to secure the GWP 40890 Easter Decorations set. I almost missed out, they only had four GWP left. I'll have to get in the habit of doing planned purchases first and THEN checking out the PAB wall.

I guess don't have the #LEGO plastic vs. paper pouches figured out after all. The symbols on the boxes are the same, but

40957 Spring Wreath - paper pouches
42691 Friends Garden Restaurant - plastic pouches

I was surprised Friends Garden Restaurant didn't have paper. I was prepared to transfer to resealable bags.

The #LEGO 40957 Spring Wreath is a nice addition to the #botanical sets I have on display. I opted to do the full floral configuration, but assembled everything so I can swap out the bow and six 6x5 leaves/flowers with the bunny and six Easter Eggs. The wreath's ring is completely different than the Christmas Wreath and Halloween Wreath. It is rigid, v.s. flexible/fragile, using part 6442144 to connect the eight segments. I'll likely grab another, just for all the floral parts, 287 of 747 (with 15 spares). I'd love to see a Summer and Autumn Wreath. #AFOL

Some recently bought #LEGO Friends sets assembled. 42665 Friends Puppy Playground 42681 Friends Axolotl Adventure Boat 42692 Friends Ice Cream & Balloon Stand The 42681 Friends Axolotl Adventure Boat's island looks great! Great colour combinations. At only $12.99, I picked up four sets for the great parts. #AFOL #LEGOFriends

@mootpoint@convo.casa I'm falling behind on the Botanical sets. Have to get over to Costco as they usually bring in Botantical sets 1-2 months before Mother's Day.

When you want a stand that will let you charge and play your #Nintendo Switch at the same time.

I cobbled together some #LEGO #Technic parts to build a stand that holds the #NintendoSwitch high enough to connect the USB-C charging cable. It is very sturdy and the angle of the uprights is adjustable.

#LEGO Bulk Storage While it is nice popping open a storage bin with hundreds of parts loose inside, it is an accident waiting to happen. Rather than risk having to clean up thousands of small parts, especially 1x1 studs/tiles, I've started compartmentalizing them. First a large resealable bag in the bottom with about 1/3 of the total. And the smaller ones with about 1/6 each. While it looks like wasted space, the bagged parts can be higher than the bin's rim so same number of bins needed. I've also pierced the bags so the air can be purged. And, when needed, you can just grab a small bag and take to the bench. #AFOL

Nothing kills the excitement of the $130Cdn #LEGO 80119 Galloping Horses Canvas set than opening it up and not being able to peruse the contents of what I just bought. Unless I transfer to Ziploc bags, which I will do. I'll have to pay attention to the packaging and not bother opening a set when it shows paper pouch. Unlike the LEGO 60467 City Tow Truck. #AFOL

Wow, can't tell them apart. 😆 I mostly got this #LEGO #Technic 42161 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica set for the lime green Technic parts and panels, but I always build a set before parting it out. While skimming through the manual, I had to chuckle when I got to page 189. Maybe, if I squint?

Always amazes me how incredibly lazy #YouTube suggestions are after watching something you don't normally watch. For whatever reason, it was suggested I watch a vid about using a carpenter's pencil. I did, it was interesting. Now my suggested videos looks like this... all #DIY

I imagine a lot of #LEGO fans make use of various food containers/bins to hold parts during assembly. And I imagine more than a few of you have launched LEGO across the room when the container/bin was accidentally flipped over. Resulting in a scavenger hunt for parts.

I had been using a black office drawer organizer, which is great, but today I found another alternative. A kitchen drawer organizer at Dollarama for $5. This is nice and heavy like the office one, but I like the white/grey as the parts show up better instead of a black void.

They nest when stacked, so I bought two. I'll likely get a couple more before gone.
