Love that game so much, but not the rats and betrayers. I know that's part of the genre blah blah whatever
I'd pay money for a PvE mode where we can work together
Pro at falling off cliffs while aiming. My nephew said I should start streaming, so here we are. I love to laugh. Gamertag of @chartier@toot.cafe he/him #VideoGames #ArcRaiders #Destiny2 #Helldivers2 #BLM #TransRights #equity

I just ran 150 meters to chase someone down and give them 6 olives. Raider said they were having an awful time finding them.
I love this game.
Nice to have some insight into how the #ArcRaiders player base skews:
“Many players do still shoot on sight, but they form a minority. Embark told the Guardian that about 30% of players are mostly interested in the cooperative aspects of the game; another 30% focus on the player-versus-player action; and the remaining 40% enjoy a mix of both.”

I love everything about #MarathonTheGame except how it makes me feel.
Looting and gunplay are fun. Abilities are fun. Bot enemies are challenging but generic and I wish there was more variety.
But spending 5, 10, 20 minutes looting, only for someone to get the jump on you, and losing everything, feels awful. That happening over 2, 4, 6, 8 runs feels extra double mega awful.
If Bungie implements some kind of a safe pocket system, yes like #ArcRaiders, I'd love to give Marathon another shot. But as of now, I'd rather play games that do not make me feel awful.
I thoroughly appreciate the whimsy in #DaveTheDiver, such as the silly cutscene when upgrading my jungle net gun (and learning new sushi and grilling recipes, etc.)
This game is just delightful, and a nice palette cleanser from the multiple FPS and 3PS I play.
Interesting souls-like out of China that doesn’t have a dodge roll or a parry in the traditional sense. Looks interesting.
I really dig #MarathonTheGame. But it needs to loosen the chains if it wants to get any kind of major audience like #ArcRaiders.
While I don’t think games need to compare to each other all the time, Arc is an inarguable AA breakout for the genre. Bungie is a AAA studio trying to make an incredibly punishing genre mainstream. I don’t think it’ll work without some compromises.

Seriously, check ‘em out.
Look me in the eye and tell me video games are not art, and I will have you arrested
(Borderlands 4 DLC side quest, not a spoiler AFAIK but tell me otherwise and I'll CW/tag)
Game publisher New Blood releases statement (more of a rant) about the ridiculous bait and switch that is #DLSS5.
I don’t love linking screenshots of text but I choose to do it over linking Twitter. If this lives somewhere else I’m happy to update the link.
I particularly like the callout that this has nothing to do with the purpose of DLSS (whether you love or hate the tech). This isn’t about upscaling and frame rates, it just Instagram-ifies assets into bullshit.
Not only is this peak #slop (so far), it is the peak of tone deaf and failing to read a room.
The duality of humanity. Or maybe just me. I dunno.

The important thing to understand about this entire #Sony #PlayStation physical disc debacle is that Sony execs are just as flammable as any other executives.
Dave the Diver is a masterpiece. The DLC 'In the Jungle' is ridiculous and bad and avoid it at all costs.
TL;DR, the review I just left on Steam: "This DLC is way too many cutscenes, way too much NPC dialog, way too many mini-games, way too much stupid turn-based combat out of nowhere. Play the original game but avoid this DLC at all costs."
Guess the rich link preview shows a different headline from what I saw in my newsreader:
“Look, I’m Not A Furry, But When I See Fox McCloud, I Get It”

First world problem here, but: My #Xbox Elite 2 controller has somewhat ruined my skills playing on the Steam Deck, mainly in any precision or technically challenging games like #Silksong.
Stuff like being able to limit the throw distance of the triggers has messed me *up*. Now it feels like I can finish an entire semester of college in the time it takes to pull a Deck trigger.
The stick travel distance has also become a problem. Moving L and R on the Steam Deck feels like I’m trying to walk the entire state of Nebraska.
Been trying to play #Subnautica one and made good progress, started building a base. But it's become that kind of thing where...
You know when you watch an old TV series you loved growing up, but all the old writing techniques and tropes are so outdated that you just don't enjoy it anymore?
I'm running into that with Subnautica 1.
I love these games so much. SO MUCH
DLC endgame spoiler video, so. You're warned
Why does #Borderlands4 *still* need to compile shaders every time I launch it?
I played through Ellie's DLC. AFAIK there hasn't been a major update since it dropped. Why is this a thing for Borderlands and not any other games I play?
You know, playing through Borderlands 4 again.
I quite enjoy the writing and quips. I wonder if some of my (and many others') criticism was clouded by the technical problems with the game. Like UI friction, performance, etc.
I didn't *dislike* my original playthrough. I was just... whelmed.
I'm in... Act 2? Probably? Going after the three commanders. And this is all great. And it's the writing I love about Borderlands.
“Roblox's monthly hours of engagement surpass Steam, PlayStation and Fortnite combined.”
Egad this is an absolutely wild statistic. Only 3 percent of #Roblox players are on a console.

Awe, I reached the end of #Subnautica2's current early access story. Only thing left is to keep collecting and building a cooler base I guess, but for some reason that part just hasn't grabbed me yet.
I have a simple base right now that is just utilitarian? Certainly more boring than I've seen from others. It's mostly a box with room for lockers, and other early/midgame necessities, a pool and dock for the tadpole, etc.
But I'm not all that interested in building rooms with a couch, coffee tables, a second floor with posters, etc. That part just hasn't grabbed me yet.
Ok but seriously why does #Titanfall2 keep getting zero-MB updates in Steam? Why do they do this to us? Our only crime was loving Titanfall. 😭
So far early on in #TinyTinasWonderlands I have received a pirate ship (which I haven't used yet, need to complete a quest) and helped a goblin who speaks of seizing the means of production.
I like this game so far.
Ok, that Wolverine trailer from Insomniac. If that photo of him and Gene (I think?) is so important, why does he keep it in such a flimsy pocket that pops open every time an enemy looks at it wrong? He’s a super anti-hero! Get a super pocket!
