And the light shines through! I finally cast off the Romantika shawl I've been working on since mid February. Made with soft vintage blended mohair and stripes of merino sock yarn, the lace was a fun challenge. It's like being wrapped in a cloud.

mastodon 4.7.3Horticulturalist and casual queer artist, dabbling in #watercolor and fibre arts. I freaking love plants, bugs, tea, and my wife (not necessarily in that order). Silver bangles on my wrists, sunshine and tattoos on my skin, dirt in my hair.
All art and photos are mine, unless otherwise noted.
Avatar is a watercolor sketch of the underside of a yellow, daisy-like flower with a green stem.
Banner is a photo of a cluster of pale pink, star like flowers with black pollen

Found a lovely little surprise in the greenhouse today.
My best friend is a straight guy, trusted and beloved like a sibling. I'm a lesbian, married to my wife for 14 years. And yet, every time my guy friend comes to visit, people weirdly ask "is your wife going to be okay with that?"
Lesbian. Happily married. Sibling relationship. Why should she be uncomfortable with this? What is wrong with YOUR relationships that you presume upon mine? Is my wife "supposed" to be jealous? What is this hetero bullshit?
I've reached the point of the knitting project where I don't want to do it anymore. But if I keep working on it, then it will get finished, then it will go away. #knitting #fiberArts #knit
Hello, from your friendly neighborhood tax preparer! This is your reminder that there are 39 days until federal tax returns are due to the USA IRS on April 15, 2026.
It hurts to know how much folks pay to have their taxes done, because it's a confusing and difficult process to do on your own. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offers free tax filing for most individuals. This is a safe, acredited federal program. Ask your local library for more info!
It's almost 3am, where I sit grumpily knitting, instead of peacefully sleeping. Anybody else awake out there?
You know that point when you're just DONE with a project, but you're still not quite done with it? I'm there.
Show me your rainbow apparel? I have a desire to be more visibly queer coded in public spaces, to signal to my people that we are Here, even if it's not safe for me to see them. Bonus points for handmade #fiberArts or links to knitting patterns or yarns.
