In a world that produces enough food for everyone, Jean Ziegler refused to accept hunger as normal.

His voice helped establish the right to food as a human right and inspired generations to challenge the systems that keep people hungry.

Rest in peace.

We hear a lot about fertilizer crises. But far less about the solutions.

In an era of constant shocks, farming that doesn’t rely on unreliable fossil inputs – like #agroecology – is key to resilient #foodsystems.

Time to scale what works.

As geopolitical conflict sends fertiliser prices soaring once again, farmers from Senegal to India are turning to organic & natural alternatives.

Food is increasingly being used as a weapon of war.

21,000+ incidents of “food-related violence” have been documented since 2018.

From Gaza to Sudan, Yemen, Syria, and Mali, deliberate attacks on food systems are driving hunger.

At what point do we stop calling these 'shocks' – and recognise a broken #FoodSystem?

@_RajPatel argues the answer may lie in rebuilding public food infrastructure.

Increasingly, not farmers.

As AI, cloud computing & biodigital technologies take over farming, control over data is becoming a major source of corporate power.
