#introduction Hello Fediverse! We are Hypostasis, a progressive metal band from Greece. Formed some 15 years ago, we have unfortunately been on and off (mostly off) for various reasons ever since. Life happens. We released a 100% self-produced EP back in 2016, played a few shows, and were forced back into oblivion shortly after. In the meantime, we were growing, writing new music, and planning a return. It is almost time now. We have recorded our debut album, and are planning a full release in the next few months! I'm really excited to share this journey with you - we are proud of our new work and, in due time, I hope you'll give it a listen. Cheers!

Today we officially announced our debut album release date!

"Birth of a Mask", our first full-length release, is scheduled to come out on May 8th.

This is the artwork (cover & back), designed by a very talented person (who mostly does body horror stuff, BE WARNED): https://www.instagram.com/soulthiev/

Tomorrow, we'll be announcing our second single, along with a music video.

This has taken a ridiculous amount of effort, probably more than it should have, but I'm proud of it nonetheless.

I'm counting down the days already :D

//I hope I used altbot correctly here, if I messed it up somehow kindly let me know, will you? :)

#TuneTuesday #UnderOverThrough

So many choices... and I ended up on an instrumental.

This album that was quite formative for me, and one that still surprises me from time to time. The track is a great medley of variations on various themes from the album. But enough of my yapping.

Someone here (I don't remember who, sadly) mentioned Clues by Sam and it sounded interesting, so I made a note of it. Today I looked it up and, well, thanks whoever you were! It's a perfect short daily distraction.

@VenusianMars Oh damn! That sounds like a good opportunity to check out their entire catalogue :P They're one of the few bands that I haven't properly listened to, but rather just know a couple of songs that I really enjoy. I know this has to change someday.

So it seems I missed #MusiciansDay, having just returned from a trip and being too tired and disorganized to even consider firing up my laptop. But hey, better late than never!

Our bass player Konrad just uploaded a bass playthrough of our recent single, and he pretty much nailed it.

I'm currently on vacation, so I'm not really active on socials. Still, I wanted to share a teaser compilation we uploaded from the upcoming album. Just a couple days left!

Since tomorrow is #BandcampFriday, it seems like as good a time as any to send out a reminder that our (self-produced) debut album "Birth of a Mask" was released just a couple of months ago: https://hypostasisgr.bandcamp.com/album/birth-of-a-mask Your support means a lot.

@mttaggart@infosec.exchange Great article! I have been dual-using Chrome and Brave, in an attempt to slowly wean myself off Chrome completely. This news is quite disappointing. Is there another similar-minded browser you would recommend that actually backs its claims and is not as unethical?
