One of the reasons I would love to travel to the future is to see all the ways that people and science are confidently incorrect about depictions of dinosaurs now, and how they’re depicted like 300 years in the future. Even within my lifetime, we’ve gone from slow, fat lizard turds to something realistic like this lil’ guy. Amazing stuff.

Yes, like GoldenEye. No one played it, and it was definitely not a popular FPS where you jumped on enemies. It’s an obscure game based on the obscure movie where James Bond jumped on every single woman he saw. /s

Oh fun history time! Especially a couple thousand years ago, the Sahara was far smaller, and far lest hostile to life. The last trees only died in the Sahara about 20 or 30 years ago. Caravans crossed regularly. On top of the very easy route from Sudan to Egypt, and the Greeks were *obsessed* with Egypt. Even the Bible talks about Nubians in Ancient Egypt, so if even that as a "source" knows about the well-documented reality that Sub-Saharan populations were in contact and well-known individuals present in North Africa and the Levant as far back as 5,000 years ago. I mean, did you not even *think* to search for this before spouting off? Literally the first search result for "did black people greece": Edit: meant to paste this link - my bad - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Greeks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Greeks

Let's all have a moment of silence for Phyllis. Gone too soon, she got messed up by a horse and the cops, and was probably just trying to have a good time with the Devil's lettuce. At peace, she rests in the shade of a mighty tree that's probably just a touch more Phyllis than we would like to think about.

For a while I lived in apartment building where no one had AC units so we all just had our windows open every night. My partner and I woke up at like 3am on a week day to what sounded like someone being murdered. Things being thrown around and this moaning whimpering that sounded not OK. Apartment across the courtyard on the same floor as us best as we could figure. Then all of the sudden it changed tempo to slap-slap-slap of hips on ass and a guy calling someone a stupid fucking slut and running through every derogatory thing he could manage. Slapping her (I assume her ass, might have been her face) *hard* - it really sounded like borderline injury slap. Still not sure at this point if we're hearing an actual assault or what. Then, fortunately, within a few minutes, she was screaming yes yes yes and responding to him calling her a slut. Which of course, made us feel relieved that it seemed consensual. We looked at each other and did a little "awwww.....that's so nice for her!" Once they finished up we applauded, which they deserved.

It's only parallel for now. Once we contract judges and the justice system to Palantir to avoid costly things like humans passing judgement, then think of the savings! That or we get one of those Network State Praxis type things.

I'm not sure how people don't see these things as anti-ads. I wouldn't touch any of these companies with a 20 meter cattle prod. I'm happy that creators get paid, sure, but if a company has to go out of their way to get someone to make ads for them, it doesn't inspire trust at all.

A Palestinian friend once went on this mini rant about how Aladdin wasn't even Middle-Eastern. Al Addin (according to the friend) means "The Easterner." So Aladdin should have been Indian or Korean or something.

Having been part of both MMF and FFM threesomes, this is very achievable. IMO, guys not being friends is a selling point for being down for a MMF and/or a DP, and horny guys are very easy to manipulate. (source: am lifelong horny guy) My suggestion is, first off, ensure that at least one of them has a place with a queen-sized bed within a reasonable taxi ride from a bar or club you're comfortable with. Give them both the same line- you're meeting a friend at a bar/club and you want them to join ;) Make them each feel like the wanted, special one. Bring enough cash to pay for a whole night out to ease friction. They can meet and talk, but don't let them talk much, and get them mobile and unable to bro out or fight. Dance, drink - talk to them as little as possible. Give subtle to start, then less subtle, physical cues - touch them on the arm, then the chest, then the leg or ass. Bounce back and forth and *maintain control of the situation* - you kiss first. Kiss the less aggressive one while touching the more aggressive one and pulling the more aggressive one to touch your body as you kiss the other one. Then swap, but give the more emotional contact like kissing for the more sensitive one, and let the less emotional one touch your body more in a sort of 2 to 1 ratio. Then you run and they follow. Tell them both to come with you - the less aggressive one may take grabbing by the hand. Get a taxi fast, sit in the middle so they don't cross horny streams, and keep bouncing back and forth, alternating who gets contact from your face and hands - kiss one while teasing the other's business. By the time you get them into the same place, 1) they will have zero comprehension of anything other than what their dicks want, but 2) you're in control and can make a pretty wide-reaching set of demands. You are the center of attention and decision-making. Good luck!

Giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as you and me, the bones are just much longer. An actual giraffe centaur with human torso from the animal's chest up would just be a long-legged spotty horse centaur.

I pasted the wrong link, which is my mistake - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Greeks And I'm not confusing you with OP, I'm explaining that North Africa was not bordered on the south by an impenetrable desert and that thinking *only* North African peoples were in Ancient Greece really mid-understands geography and proximity to Africa and the commonality of trade along the Nile. Going east, Ancient Buddhists started depicting Shakyamuni Budda as a human figure and not an empty space under a tree directly as the result of Greek philosophical exchange. Buddhist "missionaries" are accounted for in Athens and the Levant more than 2000 years ago. Ancient Greece was a pretty cosmopolitan place for the ancient world.

I'm 100% on board with this. While the "Genie doesn't experience time the same way" theory is also plausible, why would the genie be trapped in the lamp for 10,000 years and have a problem with it at all if time means nothing to him? Also, if time means nothing to Genie, why can he 1) get duped by Aladdin, and 2) do the things that allow Jafaar to use him to do terrible things? Also, the Merchant scene really sets a lot of this up as well. The combination hookah and coffee maker also makes French fries - potatoes didn't even make it to the Eastern hemisphere until the 1500s. The Dead Sea Tupperware, obviously, sets the date after the 1960s. Also, there's other lamps around. The vendor talks about a lamp, while handling a clearly polished lamp, meaning that it's not the Genie lamp. In the market scene, there are lamps at a stand as Aladdin and Jasmine run off. If Genie was stuck in a brass lamp for 10,000 years, it would have been made around +/- 9,000 BCE, before brass was first created. In fact, before writing had been invented, and Genie can read and write. In *English*. Finally, that the Cave of Wonders would contain much of the world's gold mined up until the Medieval period. Estimates the global mined supply, including mined in ancient China and the Americas and not likely to end up in a cave, would be an order of magnitude more than estimates of what Scrooge McDuck had in his Money Bin, and the cave seems to have more than Scrooge had. There was no shortage of gold in Agraba - especially since we see gold elsewhere in the movie. Clearly this is the bunker of a prepper who used an advanced AI system to guard it all, stockpiled billions in gold coins, and died before they could spend it all. Additional theory element: Genie experienced 10,000 years in the lamp because Genie was on Earth the whole time. During the apocalyptic event, several ships left the earth and used advanced propulsion to explore nearby star systems for a new home. None of them looked good enough, and after traveling at close to *c* for what seemed like a few years, some of the ships started to return to Earth (Edit: the first Planet of the Apes movie from the 70's had this as its plot), including the seed ship the AGRABA. The city was founded by a seed ship trying to repopulate the Earth. They were gone for what seemed like a few years, but due to time dilation, the journey from Earth's perspective was closer to 9,800 years. So the advanced technology makes sense still as newer tech scavenged from the seed ship and forgotten about, like the AI tiger head guarding the cave.

Yeah, it's wild how there's just a 5cm thick layer of salt down under the sand, and mining salt slabs from the ancient sea is how most nomadic groups flavor their food. Plus all the rock art and ancient cities just out in the middle of nowhere today. I once bought a dinosaur tooth from a guy that 1) agreed with claims I had heard that the mountains in the Sahara still harbor things like peach trees, and 2) that there are badlands style areas where herders just find dinosaur bones lying around.

It's really not that strategic. It's that ignorant people don't see the value in education. So school boards get filled with loud asshole people who barely made it out of high school, shouting at each other "muh kids don't need tuh know how anything works, cuz I don no how nutn works an I'm OK!" Undereducated people rarely act in their best interests, but they act all the time because they're filled with fear and unable to rationalize or plan their way out of it. It's a spiral, not a strategy. All this does is return to the old ways of private schools operating as class-based-Jim Crow. Sort of sad, we had 2 or 3 generations at most that really benefited from American public schooling before it all wobbled apart from second and third-order effects.

It goes both ways. Ultimately, it's that the Greeks (and Romans) were obsessed with Egypt, and Egypt was in direct and lasting contact with the Nubians (modern Sudan) and parts of modern Ethiopia because they were farther up the Nile.

Well, she also had terrible dementia for years, so the only passwords she was going to remember was the Little Orphan Annie secret code of “Drink More Ovaltine.” My MIL is a grandma, and I would give her a 75% chance of reading her passwords to “someone from the bank” if they caught her at the right time. Maybe she’s already done that, I’m not sure if she did that or almost did that once.
