I don't usually want much. I'm happy with the things I have. And most times when I do want something it's not too expensive by itself, but it's the shipping that puts it over the top!
I always feel kinda bratty for thinking "I wish I had more money!" because me and everyone else, right? But this time I want most of that extra money to give to other people, so I feel a bit more justified. So I wish I had more money! lol
I just said to myself, "It's not gonna get done by me bitching about it," and that may be the most stereotypically crochety old man thing I've ever said in my life. But rather than make me sour, it made me laugh. Stereotypical crochety old men are more fun than real ones, lol.
Last year in New York I bought a little USB Stitch fan at the mall. It's small and cute and seems kinda silly until you turn it on. It's so powerful! Sit it at just the right angle, which admittedly isn't easy, and it keeps me so cool!

I'd like to celebrate a small victory. There was a specific audiobook I remember previewing on the Fullcast Audio site, but didn't save and couldn't remember anything about. So I went to the site, followed the link there to Audible since I could no longer read the book descriptions on the site, looked through all their books on Audible, thank goodness they were all in one place, and it turned out to be in the middle of page 4. Sometimes, the rain comes on so hard and fast that you don't even hear the individual drops for a minute, just this sudden wall of sound, lol.
A cool thing about talking about fanfiction in a group is you also talk about things that go into a fanfic, which can be basically anything. Right now I'm in a Reddit thread that's everything you ever wanted to know about vampires where the word fanfic was only mentioned once or twice. Fanfiction is like what they used to tell me about psychology; it can apply to and encompass everything!.

Golden Girls trivia tonight! The trivia hostess told the owner to stock up on cheesecake for the occasion. I wonder if she did, lol.
Wow, what a day we just had! Mom was off today, and we checked off coffee shops 5 and 6 on the list. The first one wasn't too great, although some of the food sounded good. I want to go back just for the avocado toast. But the second one, oh my goodness, now that was an experience! The owner was just wonderful! The place was comfortable and welcoming, and they also had great food! We planned to go back there for lunch next time we have the occasion to have lunch out.
Wow, just got hit by some bad memories randomly. Maybe it was because I was going through my radio stations and came across the wrong song. I hate it when that happens!
I've always listed the fact that you can't surprise yourself as one of the reasons being your own best friend has its limits, but this Youtube playlist I just found on my account proves me wrong. No memory of making it, but it started with one of my favorite songs, so I'm sure I did when I was trying to figure things out!
I woke up from a very frustrating dream and was angry and frustrated as if it had been real even though I knew it wasn't. You know those dreams that are so deep it takes you a minute after you wake up to realize it wasn't real? This wasn't like that mentally, but it was emotionally, if that makes sense.
When I was first introduced to social media back around 2006, one of the things I was most excited about was the thought that my words could impact others on the other side of the world. I'm feeling like that again, only now I have nothing meaningful to say, lol.
All of my life I've been, not exactly a perfectionist, but someone who couldn't just..do something to get it done. For that reason, I didn't do much. There's someone now churning out 100 word fanfics, and how I wish I could do the same! Or maybe not exactly that, but just something silly and small, at least to start with, just so I can have done something. #Fanfiction
Lol, I remember reading a fanfic years ago where the author, as a joke, mentioned there was a radio station playing only Rod Stuart, and everyone in the comments scoffed at the idea. Now I know of at least 2.
"To be or not to be..." is the Elizabethan equivolent of "Ohana means family..." Everyone knows it even if they don't know anything else about the source material, it's way overused, and yeah, it's great and meaningful, but there is actually a whole story attached to it which is great and has many other quotable lines if that's what you're looking for. #Shakespeare #Disney #LiloAndStitch

I'm just a little bit embarrassed that I never bothered to learn Jaws or NVDA keyboard shortcuts. I mean, I didn't think I needed them, and it was just one less thing to learn, but those few seconds of time you save here and there really add up! E brings you to an edit box? That's so amazing! But it's always been there. It's nothing new to most people!
