The idea is that Trump’s corruption is SO obvious that the GOP is afraid they’ll get whipped in the midterms. Trump is certainly attacking the election system hard enough to show he agrees on that part at least, if not the idea of being less greedy.

Oh no now I’ll have to get my gas at Mobile. Or BP. Or Shell. Or Thorntons, Marathon, Citgo, the big grocery store - hell, Phillips made a return nearby, I could go there. Am I forgetting anybody? Eh, it doesn’t matter, it’s not like I can’t get gas at any of the dozens of gas stations in every direction.

These idiots need to stop setting the minimum wage to fixed values, and set them to calculations based off GDP and localized (by county) cost of living, with an annual (or better yet quarterly) refresh on the calculation. Maybe some other variables, I'm not an economist, but the point is to have it adjust without needing constant legislative flights.

They’re technically correct. The British never stopped calling the American Revolution a rebellion; the difference is completely subjective. That said, fuck the Confederates, those bitches lost, so the leftovers need to suck it up and move on.

They'll do anything to engage the cognitive dissonance generated by *gasp* admitting they were _wrong_ about something.

Some things are useful and some aren't, and colleges have a tendency to not know the difference.

I'm sure breathing concrete dust is fine for a baby. Good for him even. Builds character while providing his lungs with heavy reinforcement against collapses and drone strikes.

I think it's still sexual assault if somebody kisses you in your sleep without your permission, regardless of gender. I mean it probably would have worked if she kissed her on the forehead or something, it doesn't specify that it's got to be mouth to mouth.

This reminds me of a friend of mine, whose great grandfather is the reason the suburb he grew up in still has a law requiring owned guns to be stored with the police. Apparently the old man was a proper bastard and had a habit of hanging out in his porch, shotgun in hand, terrorizing other residents.

This is how I feel with autonomous combat drones. I wrote those up in ~2000ish, I forget exactly when.

I was particularly impressed by the performance of the baculum's character and how it outsmarted the animatronic leather-faced Muppet.

Yeah, the writing for this show is just derivative slop. Like a sci-fi original because they couldn't get the rights to the real thing.

Dog: wants food
Human: "you eat after I eat."
Dog: okay pack leader, but please hurry.
Cat: wants food.
Human: "you eat after I eat."
Cat: knocks grandpa's ashes off the side table.

Actually that’s an illusion caused by the picture being a still frame and not a video. In actuality his Eldritch master is displeased with the inferior quality of his oppression, and is taking the cop into the sky. His demise will be slow and agonizing, but hey, that’s what happens when you sign a pact in blood but then don’t make your quotas.

Depends on your major and what kind of career you're assuming for. Calculus is usually useless, unless you're specifically a math or physics major, for example. A lot of majors have extra stuff thrown in there too provide a "well rounded education" but mostly you're going to college for what's effectively career training. But people tend to have to get jobs that have nothing to do with their majors. Colleges need to be more like trade school - teaching you mostly just what you need to do the job and maybe a few lower level classes in other areas at most.

So they decided that the best way to capture the attention of today’s youth is with clones of games made 30 or 40 years ago. Sure, you know what, good job White House, have a cookie. Everybody clap for how well they understand the children and teenagers of 2026.
