@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social I’d also like to give an honourable mention to LHR (possibly T3? Can’t remember) for having signage at around 1.95m in the corridor where you’re chatting to family as you push trolley along. It hurts.

@mhoye I can neither confirm nor deny that a school classroom (TV at the front) was once reduced to chaos with many students pointing their calculators at the TV when others had the matching model remote to mute / pause the vcr and the teacher trying to confiscate the 'remote' calculators.

@bloor we can't take fruit, veg, meat or seafood interstate. Hell, I've been pulled up at the ferry terminal for having too many leaves in the windscreen gutter (is there a proper name for the bit the wipers rest in?) on the van when coming home from Vic. (I wasn't going to argue that they were actually Tassie leaves I took over 3 days earlier, it didn't seem wise). The sniffer dogs at the airport are great at finding someone with a clandestine banana,

@jess@blop.social south of the border you should be able to ask for Lorne Sausage (not to be confused with forlorn sausage, that may get you unintended consequences)

Nod to Hugh F-W (River Cottage) as it starts with his basic recipe proportions. As with the best recipes, it then evolves into whatever is in the cupboard.

@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social now a threaded version of that would make it easier to fix to pcb. Unless of course you got the internal left hand thread AND the external right hand one at the same time. Not that anyone would be foolish enough to generate such a beast...

Hey @somafm@sfba.social - Right up there with "Radio stations shouldn't play tracks featuring police sirens" can I add "or cat meowing" - Lost the song history now but something on #groovesalad last night (around 00:30 PDT?) *really* made the dog bark in the car. Keep up the good tunes tho! Ta!

So I'm poking around with #AuditD, also swearing mildly at 'msg=' being used twice on a line which breaks trivial parsing, when I realised I haven't seen a *good* deep dive on on it for a while. The Red Hat docs [1] cover the basics, while the GH linux-audit repos cover the tech details, but no recent presentations

I wonder if @corbet@social.kernel.org could persuade someone to write an article for #LWN?

Dear lazyweb, it's about time I ripped our CD collection (1-200). What's the format of choice these days (and ballpark disk space req) if I'm going to be streaming it around the (mostly wired) home? Playback devices with decent speakers are via pi audio hats (and shairport sync) but i may investigate esp32 + dac + sendspin
