Gen X here. I'm mostly in agreement except that his analogy breaks at the point where AI is being forced into everything, even where it's not beneficial. The automobile and word processor had to prove their worth before organically becoming commonly used. AI is being forced.

@obihahn@na.social Don't believe which part? Spreading through water isn't proven yet, but then neither is the spreading through lettuce. So far, those are both patterns being noticed. AI datacenters was a big headline weeks ago when Meta was caught spreading an incurable bacteria into the water supply that can't easily be treated or filtered away normally so that one's on the record as true. It's not directly connected to the cyclospora headlines but might be interesting to note. Something else?
