Going to manifest that I will one day write a book on environmental justice and U.S. colonies here on Mastodon because I'm too embarrassed to ever do that on Twitter, or to admit that to my colleagues.

Being on Mastodon was a lot like signing on to Twitter for the first time years ago, and thinking "damn this is ugly" but then loving it a week later.

I wish we didn't have to be perceived constantly to be considered good reporters. I understand why numbers are prioritized, but I'm insanely jealous of anyone whose quality of sleep isn't dictated by online shares, or lack thereof.
