This has been coming for a long time, I've explained the reasons why multiple times and just not actually done the moving. Well now I've moved. Right NOW, I'm just posting on both accounts. Later today I am going to hit the button that moves all my followers from here, to there. The server I'm on now has MUCH better moderation, so some of you on sketchbag instances may not be making the trip. Dunno what to say, none of that is up to me I just press the button kids.

So at this point I'm like 'fuck it, I have to move." But again, that shit is hard, and time consuming, and I was in a mental state where like I knew I was coming out of a long episode of depression, but I wasn't really, out of it yet? So anything like that just seems really daunting when you're on the wrong side of that hill. And I skipped it. But now I'm feeling better, and this issue has come up again; perhaps bigger and bolder than it has ever been before. So I just did it and moved.

Without trying to be a jerk, I went through my entire follows list that was being imported and found 3 corner cases I was worried about; two of them I've already found again and one I'm literally just going to wait for them to post again and find them that way. So, for all the rumored strictness, it doesn't actually seem to matter.

@Jeramee@mastodon.social You have to create a new account either way, I just haven't hit the button that transfers all my followers over. I will, probably later tonight; just wanna make sure I'm doing it right. But even then it might take a few days to pull everyone over. For the moment I'm maintaining both so I can kinda make sure everyone knows what is going on before I send this account's follower count to zero - but at some point, I will in fact transfer them over. Likely today even.

@Jeramee@mastodon.social I mean, they're extremely strict. Like, they do not fuck around; if you smell like a reactionary you're out. But the person running the show is at least approachable, and I haven't found their logic to ever track with anything but "community safety and telling nazis to fuck off" - not easy to find someone without an ego here. But it's such a tiny server, and some folks might not appreciate how strict it is. Mostly? I think they're prepared to pay the price, for hosting me. So I agreed

@Jeramee@mastodon.social I'd honestly hit Kolekitva; it's not the best server, but the censorship is pretty low, they have plenty of Dem Socs (more or less recovering liberals who want nice things; kinda folks who vote for AOC and Bernie, but also want them to do better) but they also have enough anarchists, outright socialists, and everything in between to keep exposing you to new ideas - which you can of course, reject or accept at your leisure.
