I'm getting paid to learn new work skills, which is both cool as fuck and exhausting my brain in equal measure.
For the first time in my professional IT career, I no longer work tickets. I do projects only, and it feels fucking amazing.
Lately I've been entertaining the idea of learning to code. Not because it would help in my SysAdmin career, but just to spite GenAI companies and vibe coders. :blobcatthinking:
I love my weird internet friends; you entities make the horrors a bit easier to bear. Thank you for that. ![]()
It’s my first day back working in a corporate office in six months, and lemme tell ya, it’s a lot to process. :blobcatdizzy:
One would think that by my age, I’d have learned that too much coffee = stomach hurts, but here we are. :holdthepain:
My doctor: It's possible your palpitations are caused by an increase in stress. You need to try and reduce your stress level.
Me, living in the US now: :holdthepain:
It’s been a month, but it still feels kinda weird going from being a Systems Administrator that does Cloud Admin occasionally to being a Cloud Admin that does Systems Administration occasionally.
Oooh, a user serviceable Linux tablet? Consider my interest piqued.
Cortana crawled so Copilot could walk. Hmm, walk may be a bit generous. Stumble? Shamble?
Given the state of #Destiny2 right now, I've been looking for something that could scratch that itch while I wait for Bungie to get it together. I'm coming up empty so far.
I already play Warframe off and on, and I'm not seeing too many other looter shooters worth investing in. I really wish Bungie would've focused on Destiny instead of pouring talent and resources into a Marathon title no one asked for.
There seems to be a coordinated hate campaign going on over in the Steam discussion and community pages for #Marathon, and I don’t get it at all. I value my time too much to spend it repeatedly attacking a game I don’t like on a forum. Like, what do they get out of it? :blobcatthinking:
I feel like this might appeal to some of my mutuals.
Holy shit, there's a cave-dwelling arachnid that eats "light emitting prey" (gloworms) and it's called Ungoliant photophaga??
*maybe don't click if you have arachnophobia*
*Sees Monster Hunter Stories 3 is coming out in a week.*
Oh yeah, I should probably play Stories 2. :blobcatthinking:
But I can't, because I'm in the middle of playing Dragon Quest VII R. :blobCatOhNo:
That #DeepDishDungeon demo scratches an itch I’ve had for awhile now in a dungeon crawler. Now if only I could get a few friends interested in it.
