#petromafia

RE: https://flipboard.com/@cbcnews/calgary-s2m5l3ffz/-/a-fV_JFadEQdWW8L8fbW2PGg%3Aa%3A107108217-%2F0 if i were Carney, i’d be putting money into ramping up production for water bombers & evac planes instead of another stupid #petromafia #pipeline. my most vivid memory of September 11, 2001 when i was on the rooftop watching the towers burn, was screaming, WERE ARE THE WATER BOMBERS?!?!? i will never get over the fact we are surrounded by water yet there were no water bombers to put out the infernos that day. 25 years later, i don't believe #nyc ever invested on a water bomber fleet.

this #heatdome2026 #weather is absolutely bananas. we went from heat that felt like 112°F to pouring rain in just a few hours. before this rainfall, the wind was blasting so hard, it was rattling my closed windows. when i open them, the blast of air was hot as hell. THIS #climateCrisis #CANICULE CANNOT BE THE NEW NORMAL Trump is the face of the #petromafia burning down the planet. when will w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ hegemonic Americans wake up and rise against this madness?!?!?

1028 died in Spain, in one month, due to capitalist-created #canicule hitting Europe this summer. Europe has 50 countries. 27 of those countries are in the European Union. let’s use Spain as a baseline and low-ball the number down to 1000. that means that anywhere between 27 to 50,000 europeans might have been killed IN ONE MONTH by the #petromafia #climateCrisis ❝ Las muertes por calor se disparan a más de mil en un junio que cierra en cotas históricas https://www.ideal.es/sociedad/calor-dispara-muertes-calor-mil-junio-cierra-20260701123157-ntrc.html
