Welcome to Alice Springs!
I went to ANZAC Hill in the centre of town, where you get an amazing 360° view of this beautiful town surrounded by hills/ranges on all sides.
I planned to make you a video but it was so windy and three busloads of people turned up, so I gave up!
Here are two pictures instead. One shows the ranges, the other shows the gap in the Ranges that the road into town (and the train) goes through.

This morning I walked around the base of Uluru, which is just over 10km. It took 3 hours because I didn't want to rush, there were some small deviations to see waterholes and there were a few interpretive signs to read along the way.
There were several sections which are culturally sensitive and photos were not allowed, so I can't show you some of the most picturesque places.
But here are some of my favourite shots. More info in AltText.

It's colder here (my car beeped at me when the temp dropped below 4°C) and very crowded.
I thought I missed the best pre-sunrise pic, but then this happened.
