Protest Thread #129: Stick it to 'em! With stickers. Yesterday we had great protest weather and we met up on one of our favorite bridges. It's in a very diverse, blue voting area, but it's over the interstate. Historically the interstate is not blue anywhere, but it sure is now! As has become common these days, there were no middle fingers at all. The honking was crazy, especially from the suffering truck drivers. An local transit worker came out... #50501movement

Right now, a cheerful but determined crowd of protestors has gathered outside a court house to support the "Minnesota 15," legal observers of #ICE. Although everything the observers did was legal under the #FirstAmendment, #DHS is persecuting them with, well, trumped up charges. Protest Thread #128: MAKE. IT. STOP. Yesterday afternoon, I drove to another bridge protest downtown gleeful that I'd survived my well woman exam and now don't have to set foot in a doctor's office for another year. The weather was much better than expected, and we had a party on the bridge! Nobody even noticed any middle fingers from traffic, which is saying something in a rush hour protest over the interstate. Foot traffic was almost entirely gleeful. #50501movement

A teacher in Minnesota posted this sign, but it pretty much sums up the mood everywhere. We always have anti-ICE signs up on the bridges and we get almost no middle fingers at this point. Bridge trolls in Santa Barbara #California recently put an 8647 sign alongside other signs and the US flag on a bridge. Officers in the California Highway Patrol wanted 8647 taken down after a complaint. This Indivisible chapter would not be silenced. As I've said on here before, at early protests in 2025 the truck drivers were split 50/50 on us-- probably along racial lines, given the teamster endorsements in 2024. Brave red state resisters are protesting in #Dallas #Texas even though their city government rescinded their permit for no good reason. So far it's been spirited and loud and I haven't seen any violence. They're some tough people to continue protesting!
