It's f*ing hard to try to use trains / travel carbon-neutrally.
Case study: An attempt to get from Berlin to Stockholm by train, #Snälltåget in this case.
Everything's sold out a couple of months prior. The morning of the trip, the train company informs they have no rolling stock because Denmark can't keep their railways in order. The train company's customer service is immediately maxed out, them having to close down phone service and suggesting 48h SLA for emails.
All this shit at 2-3x the cost of flying (which really should be the other way around if subsidies would be allocated correctly). #travel #trains
